I have a dear friend her name is Nutty...okay her real name is Kendra but if you ask my family it is Nut.  I love this girl so much!! We have had so many great memories together!!!

We have known each other since we where in Grade School!

As time went on we went to middle school and had dreams at working at Oakcrest and being the best camp counselors ever!! This is actually where Nut's nickname came about.  Her full nickname is Nutty-Squirrel but we call her Nutty or Nut for short and my nickname or camp name is Flash because I love taking pictures. But our dreams don't stop there we

A Dream Come True!

This is the story about me Amber Jeane North going on a mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints.

I have always wanted to serve a mission ever since I was a little girl and I thought I would go until last summer when I started to date a boy I honestly did not know what to think anymore.  But when he left on his mission I decided I would prepare to go on a mission and if the Lord wants me to do something else then I would be ready for where ever life took me.

It is interesting that the Lord has been preparing me to serve him and I had no clue until Conference came in October.  For example every time I thought about school after this school year and what I was going to do I just kept getting the answer to not worry about it right now, you will know later.  I had several options like transferring to Utah State, coming back at Snow, or even going to a different school but nothing seemed clear.  As the school year went on it was crazy busy and awesome!!

Conference weekend came and I started working a week or two before and I didn't have work off, I prayed the night before and that morning that if I needed to watch conference live that I would some how be able too.  I went to work that morning and at the time I worked at a calling place called Key Research.  That morning I was not getting any surveys and just not having any luck.  At first I was getting frustrated with myself and in my head I was like man they are going to send me home....(Light bulb) it dawned on me, I am going to be sent home!  Sure enough I only worked an hour and was sent home.  I got in my car to go back to my apartment and I said a prayer saying thank you.

I got to my apartment and had some yummy waffles that my roommate Tamlynn made with strawberries and whip cream! It was Heaven!! :) All of my roommates where surprised that I was home but it was Awesome!!

I had the great opportunity to watch conference with my lovely roommates Tiffany, Brittany, Jessica C. aka Eve, and Tamlynn.  Our roommate Jessica Larsen was spending the weekend with her family, and our neighbor Colton joined us too.

Wow what a incredible first session of conference!!  Words cannot describe the emotions. They announced that Sisters can go on a mission at 19!! WHAT??? It was like Oh my goodness I can go on a MISSION!!!!! Pretty much the coolest news EVER!  Just that entire first session was a cry fest.

After the first Session was over pretty much my roommates, my old roommate Ashton and her roomie Syd came over, (Colton left) and we had pretty much like a testimony meeting! Like one you would have at girls camp or youth conference where everyone is crying well it was like that but times that by like 100!!! It was AMAZING!!! and we all talked about the inspiration we have all been given and what we learned and WOW!! amazing spirit!! :)

That night my roommates and I totally had a party while the boys all went to there meeting.  We went Mattress surfing!! and then we had a sleep over in our living room!! SO MUCH FUN!!! :D

But of course the journey didn't end there.  The next day we watched conference again, Sunday we didn't really cry but conference was still amazing and we definitely felt the spirit.  I decided to tell the Lord hey if Bednar talks next I'll know you want me to go on a mission but then I said but I'll still go if he doesn't speak. No kidding the speaker ends and Uchdorf (I think) announced the next speakers and he was one of them I died!! I was like NO WAY I couldn't believe that just happened! So that was pretty cool!! :)

Months went on and right before Christmas break Tiffany, Brittany, and I started our papers so we could get our medical/dentist stuff done over the break.

Tiffany was the first to get her call to the San Pablo Philippines mission and she left in May

Then it was my Turn! not to long later.  I opened my call on February 27, 2013.  That Monday my awesome Bishop, Bishop Lindsey texted me saying my call had been assigned and pretty much I was freaking out and I was like AHHHH!!!! My call could come this week!!! So when it came to Wednesday I just wanted to know if it was here or not.  The plan was to not open it until that weekend when my family came down for family day but then it CAME!! and well I ended up going home to open it!! Luckly my wonderful cousin Taylor got to come with me. :)

We finally reached Riverton and I just couldn't believe that I was about to open my ...MY Mission call!!! I was going to know where the Lord wanted me!!! Pretty cool!!

Wow! Opening my mission call was something!! I had family and friends there supporting me.  The time had come, I opened the envelope and started reading but didn't even make it past my name before emotions took over.  I read where I was going and everyone was cheering! In my head I was like...wait what?? It took a second for me to realize that I read that I was called to serve in the....

CHICAGO ILLINOIS MISSION!!!

My first thought was oh they film a lot of movies there haha and I was like WOW that is so cool! and then I read when I was leaving and it said July 24, 2013 and I was like Holy Cow that is FOREVER away!! and then I was like well that is all you guys want to know...then they asked what language I was speaking haha and I am speaking English!!1 :D WOOT WOOT :D Boy I couldn't believe it!! I am actually going on a mission!!

After that I ate some yummy taco soup that my wonderful Mom made and visited for a little bit before heading back to Ephraim.  I said good byes and then my cousin Taylor drove back to Ephraim while I was calling and texting people! Thank You Taylor for driving.  It was the fastest drive back to Ephraim EVER!! haha ;)

I got back to my apartment and was still freaking out! we decided that my roommates probably would have killed me if I didn't go home and open my call because I was freaking out that it was here.  It would have been a LONG week!! haha

and then Brittany got her call in April before school ended.  She is going to the San Fernando California Mission and she leaves the week before me on July 17, 2013.  we are hoping we will see each other in the MTC because we will be there for a week together. *Hopefully that happens*

Now I leave for my mission in 16 days! Since I got my call my mission has split! I pretty much have the cities boarding the Lakes and then Indiana!!  I am beyond excited to serve the Lord!  I can't believe I leave so soon! It has come fast and I look forward to this next chapter in my life!  Thank You everyone for helping me get where I am at today!!

I love you all!!! :D

Good Things Have to Come to an End! The End of Snow!

I can NOT believe I am done at Snow College!!! It has been the best and hardest two years of my life!  But I have learned so much as well as grown!  I have been so blessed to have so many amazing people in my life to help me along the way!!

Here is the story about this girl being a college graduate!! When it came to register for spring classes I did not think I was going to graduate this year and I even talked to a counselor about taking summer classes or coming back for another semester.  But when I came home that night and was looking at everything I new I had to graduate this school year.  I was like okay as long as you (My father in Heaven) will help me out.  Needless to say It was a really hard semester I took 19 credits that included two science classes, math, and philosophy   Math and Philosophy I was struggling with and was super nervous that I might have to pay back my scholarship because of that, I new I would pass my classes but I didn't have money to pay back the school after all I have a mission to help pay for.  As I was worried about school I new everything would be okay and I even asked for a priesthood blessing which helped bring ease to my stressful self.  I love this gospel so much and I am so glad that I can receive blessings of comfort and I am so glad to have so many worthy priesthood holders in my life!! Thank you guys! :)

Finals Came and then they where done!  Everything was done and all I could do was wait....a week after graduation all grades where in and I was so relieved that I didn't have to pay the school back any money and I thanked my father in Heaven for helping me this semester.

But that is not all

Brittany, Tiffany, Amber, Brian
This is where it all started to sink it!! We are actually graduation People!!! So crazy!!! and so exciting!!! Graduation of course was long but it wasn't to shabby.  My favorite part was when they award a diploma to my dear friend Marissa Watkins! I love her! She is a light to everyone!! This is me with her adorable parents after the ceremony! They are amazing!! :)

After the ceremony I met with my parents and was talking to them when all of the sudden someone is closing my eyes....I start hear "Sister...Sister..."  I am so confused and am like who the heck is covering my eyes and then I figure it out and am like WHAT?? Here is is in Pictures..

So Deven my brother came home from his Mission on Thursday but I thought he was coming home the following week so they as in my family decided to surprise me at my graduation.  I am impressed that they kept this as a surprise!! The did great! and it was so awesome to see my brother and have him at my graduation.

Here is a recording of it: <iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/video/embed?video_id=10151557878869627" width="720" height="1280" frameborder="0"></iframe>

Last Semester at Snow starts off Strong!

I am in my fourth Semester here at Snow College and I just love Ephraim!! It is my home!! It is crazy to believe that I will be graduating in the Spring!  It blows my mind just a little bit!  This is a crazy Semester! I am just a little crazy and I am taking 19! credits along with Student Government and I work.  But I would not have it any other way!
Moving back to Ephraim after Christmas break was Great!  It was so good to be with my roommates again!! I love these girls! But the down side is you do not get to enjoy as many homemade meals and family time.
So the end of last semester I told Jessica that I would do P90X with her this Semester.  So Monday-Friday we wake up at the "wonderful" hour of 6am!! and workout!  Oh My goodness! It is tiring!  But this week has been easier after doing it for a week!! So pretty much we are going to look "hot" by the end of this Semester, at least we'd like to think so.
On Friday we where finishing the work out and then we had the ab workout after and Jessica went to the Temple so we worked out later and by this time our entire apartment was awake and Billie (she also joined us the first day too) and Tiffany joined our workout and Tiffany at first kept making fun of us so we where laughing and then we where all trying and doing the ab workout and laughing.  When you are trying to workout your abs and you laugh it makes it hard.  But it was a fun morning of a good workout and laughs!!
That day was a busy day of going to classes and spending time in the Student Life office.  I worked from 3-10, I work at a calling center called Key Research.  After work I went and partied it up at the Institute Stomp!! That was a BLAST!!! and then we had a party at our apartment where our new friend Geoff sang and played the guitar for us, we did not mind this at all!  He even made up a song for all of us.  It was enjoyable!  Then we watched Pitch Perfect and chilled and realized that it was 4am and this lovely girl had work at 8am the next day....yeah not the smartest thing.  But it was still fun! :)
Thursday was Arise auditions and those went well, this past Monday was our first day of class and OH MY GOODNESS!!! It is going to be an incredible semester!! We already sound pretty good and the spirit was so strong and man I just love this class and the fact that I get to share my testimony through music is so awesome! :)  This class is really a blessing in my life and I am so glad that I can be apart of this wonderful Choir!
This is going to be a great Semester!  I have amazing roommates! Amazing people all around me and the Lord blesses me everyday!  This is just a little bit of what the semester has been so far and of course there have been more but this is all for now.
Hope you Enjoyed! Have a Great day!! :)

Jace and Maddie Get Married!!!

We had Christmas dinner and family came over, we had our traditional Mexican food and boy was it good and so much to choose from!! We played a lot of games and talked and enjoyed being with each other.  It is weird to think that I will not be home next year for Christmas but I am looking forward to what the Lord has planned for me.
